Château de Savigny - Musée de la moto, de l'aviation et de la voiture de course
The Château de Savigny-lès-Beaune, built in 1340 and remodelled in the 17th century, is a listed historic monument. This former fortress now houses some unusual collections.
In the château grounds, you'll discover around a hundred fighter planes and helicopters. The château and its outbuildings house 30 prototype Abarth racing cars and over 200 motorbike models dating from 1903 to 1960, including those of Jean Mermoz and Chanoine Kir. Other attractions include a firefighters' museum, a wine-making equipment museum, a high-clearance tractor museum and more than 7,000 scale models.
On the estate, the Petit Château (1671) houses the tasting cellar and restaurant (reservations required for 20 people or more).
Since 1979, Michel Pont, passionate collector and owner of the Château de Savigny-lès-Beaune, has opened his museums to the public every day to share his passions. His son, Christophe Pont, looks after the château's winegrowing operations with his estate "Les Caves de l'Orangerie" and invites you to discover some of the prestigious appellations of Burgundy wines. Tasting and sale of the estate's wines on site.
