Le Ferrier de Tannerre-en-Puisaye

One of the largest iron and steel sites in Roman Gaul (30 hectares, half of which is open to the public). This site, classified as a Historic Monument in 1982, has seen three major periods of activity represented on the ground by: the place devoted to iron with the low furnaces and the forge, the clearing of the castle built on the site of the fortress destroyed in the Middle Ages and the place presenting the exploitation of slag in the 20th century. A permanent orientation course has been created with the French Orienteering Federation: the Garenne wood has been equipped with 25 markers with markers. This permanent orienteering course includes: an easy green course of 6 markers for families and young children, a blue course of 10 markers for the average level and a red course of 18 markers, more difficult, more sportive.
